Isaac Maimon was born in Israel in 1951 to French-speaking parents. His family recognized his artistic talents when he was young and strongly encouraged him. He was educated at the Avni Institue of Fine Arts in Tel Aviv, where he developed his interest in the French boulevard culture for which he has become known. He taught at two Israeli universities, the School of Visual Arts in Beersheba and Ka

During the eighties he became a restaurateur and pub owner, building and managing coffee houses. He spent much of his time drawing the patrons of his restaurants, and then translating the drawings to paintings in his studio. In 1989, an art publishing company noticed his work. They took some of his paintings to New York to be exhibited at the International Art Exposition. This led to his work being exhibited annually at the Art Expo in New York, as well as other expositions in cities across the United States and in Japan. He started a solo exhibition in the United States in 1991
Maimon's art is strongly influenced by the French school of art, particularly by the artists, Lautrec and Matisse, although his paintings are uniquely his own. His strong vivid colors and lines are rich and bold in detail and purity. His art is a mixture of modern and the Paris coffee house culture of the twenties, the essence of the urban scene. His paintings are very inviting, full of hints and promise and will never disappoint.
Maimon lives in Israel and continues to hold exhibitions and tours annually in the United States. His art can be found at museums, galleries and retailers around the world.« see less

"The framed print I ordered not only arrived in a very timely manner, but was wrapped in such a way that I knew you cared about its condition. The frame and mattes were beautiful as well. I have told my friends and family members how pleased I am with your company, and have recommended you highly to anyone who wants to purchase a quality framed print from a conscientious business. Thank you so much for making my daughter's birthday present a beautiful gift she will cherish forever. Sincerely, Chris Hubersberger"
