Allen Schill, a native of the south coast of Long Island, lived in New York for years, and currently resides in Torino, Italy. A few years later he was granted the Masters of Fine Arts degree by the City University of New York, after following a program in painting, printmaking, and photography. For two years he worked as Irving Penn's assistant. Schill was focused mostly on Mr. Penn's personal photographic work. He then began teaching fine art and photography and served for the next 15 years in the City University of New York as an Adjunct Professor of Photography. In 1996 Allen Schill relocated to Italy. As a practicing artist, he has been deeply committed over the years to various personal projects, particularly in photography.
