Erin Lang was born and raised in Seattle, Washington. She was an athlete who showed artistic talent in school but had little interest in creating art. Lang became involved in the art community and was exposed to the many cultures in Seattle especially the artists with ties to Pacific Rim traditions. This exposure proved to be an awakening for her . She discovered a passion for art and realized that she had a special talent. These early beginnings have developed into the creation of a wide array of artistic styles and subjects. Her work is influenced and informed by traditional Japanese and Chinese painting. However, she is interested in applying her own contemporary American vision to these more traditional forms. She also likes to create mixed media originals that include foils, metals, natural objects and other decorative elements. The resulting compositions are unique and original expressions that exude life and vitality while maintaining a serene calm. Her art is a unique mixture of styles and emotions that reflect her own personal journey. Her work has been shown in many solo and group exhibitions throughout out the Northwest. Erin Lang still resides in her native Seattle and also spends time in Vancouver, British Columbia. « see less
"As an watercolorist I have found ArtPassions.com a helpful place to buy both art supplies and frames. The employees are all knowledgeable and helpful as they are familiar with the products they sell. The frames are of good quality, priced reasonably and there are many styles of frames to choose from. I have entered many competitions and the custom work they do always gives a professional look to my paintings."
