Warm shades of orange, ivory, yellow and red fill the image of two long-necked clay pots standing on a shelf next to four floating flowers in Jonas Horst's painting, "Dark Red Impressions I". The dark red, bordering on purple at its darkest, and flirting with shades of orange and terra cotta at its lightest, colors the wall above the shelf and the lower half of the wall in front of which the pale orange flowers float. Their petals are wide and smooth, falling like leaves of delicate paper at their edges, their green stems balancing the color of the shadows cast on the wall by the ivory pots. Geometric shapes form patters of diamonds and triangles along tile borders between colors, and a focal point of warmth and style is the result.
