Artist David Brega is well known for his trompe l'oeil style of painting, particularly in his still life images. "Blue on Blue" is a perfect example of this, as the white wooden duck decoy looks as if it is alive, peering around the green bucket. The blue chest is the main giveaway of the trick, with its keyhole centering the whole painting.
