Dizzy on 52nd Street by William Gottlieb

Decorate your hip pad with this Gottlieb portrait of one of the coolest cats around, Dizzy Gillespie. If jazz is your bag, this image of musician Dizzy Gillespie is for you. Artist William Gottlieb has captured ace trumpeter, Dizzy, standing on the corner of 52nd Street in this iconic reminder of the golden age of jazz. Due to the fade resistant inks and pH neutral mats, when you put this image in your basket, you can be confident of enjoying it for many years to come.

Gottlieb chronicled the jazz years in print and on the radio. In 1995 he sold his photographic collection to the Library of Congress. When he died in April, 2006, at the age of 89, his passing was mourned by jazz aficionados the world over.
