A surfer in red trunks stands coolly on his red board as it slides through a huge tidal barrel in Aaron Bogushefsky's "Green Slide". The young man's hair is long and he is painted without any facial features, accentuating the calm with which he sticks out his hand, palm up, to let his fingertips run through the rising wall of water next to him. The wave is painted in shades of green and lit like glass with light coming through its far edge. The sea has areas of teal, forest, emerald, olive and aqua green. The foam crashing from the wave's crest is completely cloudy white, as are the wavy lines left in the water from the path this surfer's board has just taken through the water.
